01

Technical Focus

Software Development

Web development, APIs, Git, debugging, technical documentation, small tools, and automation.

Linux & Server Operations

Debian/Linux, Docker, NGINX, systemd, TLS/Let's Encrypt, reverse proxies, logging, firewalling, and securing public services.

Network Infrastructure

IPv6, BGP, DNS, RIPE database management, RPKI, WireGuard, pfSense, FRR/BIRD, routing policies, and peering.

Monitoring & Operations

Prometheus, Grafana, Node Exporter, health checks, log analysis, traffic analysis, and practical troubleshooting in production.

FOSS & Self-hosting

Operating, adapting, and analyzing free software, with practical experience in open-source projects, bug reports, and self-managed infrastructure.

02

AS208694 / Tiekoetter.NET

With AS208694 / Tiekoetter.NET, I operate my own autonomous system as a hands-on networking and infrastructure project. The project includes dedicated IPv6 prefixes, BGP routing, RIPE database management, RPKI-validated routing policies, peering and transit connections, as well as production DNS, web, and monitoring infrastructure.

Project Focus

  • Operation of dedicated IPv6 prefixes and routing policies
  • BGP with multiple upstreams, peering partners, and internet exchanges
  • RIPE database maintenance, IRR objects, and RPKI validation
  • Multi-site infrastructure with a WireGuard backbone
  • Anycast services for DNS and web infrastructure
  • Monitoring, traffic analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Protecting public services against abuse and traffic spikes

03

Professional & Practical Experience

2023 — 2024

Unity Software Development

TRR 318, Medical School OWL, Bielefeld University

Development of an interactive Unity interface for robot control and behavior configuration. The interface enables robot behavior such as gestures, facial expressions and speech to be created and adjusted without programming knowledge. My focus was on programming and technical implementation; the project was situated in a medical research context.

Software Development

  • Development and maintenance of web applications, interactive applications, and small tools
  • Work with Git, APIs, frontend and backend components
  • Debugging, error analysis, and technical documentation

System Administration

  • Operation of Linux-based servers and container environments
  • Configuration of NGINX, Docker, DNS, TLS, and monitoring
  • Automation of recurring tasks using shell scripts
  • Analysis of logs, performance issues, and network errors

Networking

  • Hands-on operation of IPv6/BGP infrastructure
  • Routing, peering, transit, RPKI, and RIPE database maintenance
  • VPN and backbone connections using WireGuard
  • Work with pfSense, FRR, BIRD, and Linux networking tools

04

Additional Projects

Luna-HTTP/S

Operation and continued development of a custom web and reverse-proxy infrastructure with modern TLS configuration, HTTP/3, QUIC, NGINX, Docker, and automated certificate management.

Monitoring & Traffic Dashboards

Built Prometheus- and Grafana-based monitoring for servers, services, and network traffic, including metrics, dashboards, health checks, and log analysis for operational visibility.

Self-hosted Services

Operation of public FOSS-based services such as SearXNG, Invidious, and Nitter on self-managed infrastructure, including reverse-proxy configuration, Docker, DNS, TLS, caching, rate limits, monitoring, log analysis, and abuse mitigation.

Web Development & Tools

Development of static websites, small web tools, dashboards, and scripts for automating administrative tasks.

05

Open Source

I work extensively with free and open-source software, operate several FOSS-based services, and regularly engage with open-source projects. This includes error analysis, issue reports, configuration work, operation, adaptation, and documentation.

06

Education

Since 2022

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics

Bielefeld University

Studies focused on computer science, mathematics, software development, and theoretical and practical foundations of information technology.

2019 — 2022

Abitur

Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau-Gesamtschule, Bielefeld
